Bringing relief to people in need
The Community and Voluntary sector is the glue that keeps our communities together, that brings relief to people in need and enriches the lives of us all. The sector operates locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
The community and voluntary sector has a long and proud history of achievement, dating back several decades. More recently Austerity, then Brexit and now COVID (the ABC impact) have all severely affected the sector’s ability to deliver and long-term sustainability.
Our focus
Our focus here is on the long-term sustainability of the sector. We do not subscribe to the view that there are too many charities, or that we should all strive to constantly innovate to attract funding. Our belief is simple, community and voluntary structure support needs a radical overhaul of the power and privilege relationships that have been its hall mark for decades. This means equipping social organisations, and entrepreneurs with the information, skills, confidence and techniques to make things happen, in a way that they choose and see fit.
Our offer to community and voluntary organisations:
- Advice
- Information
- Training
- One to one bespoke support
- Representation on the issues that matter to the people who can make the change
- An annual programme of funding via our grants programme (opens late 2022)
